Om Malik thinks Google may be playing chicken with the wireless cartel.

Om has access to a bunch of the movers and shakers in tech as well as in the investment community, so I’m particularly interested when he changes a prediction. He’s changed his take on Google’s participation in the 700 MHz auction from building out their own network to that of potentially playing chicken with the wireless cartel to get what they want. We at Third Pipe enthusiastically support any efforts to torment the wireless cartel and the duopoly. There should be more of it, but you need a Google sized war chest to do battle with the duop and cartel’s army of lawyers.
